Soft aqua and natural tones give the Sea Glass Basket its quiet, coastal character. Handwoven in Gitarama, Rwanda, each basket is made by skilled women artisans using traditional techniques.
Sisal fibers are extracted from agave plants, then hand-dyed and woven around sweetgrass to create a richly textured, durable piece.
At approximately 8" in diameter, the basket can be displayed on a wall, placed on a table or shelf, or used as a decorative catchall. A loop on the back makes hanging easy.
Because each basket is woven entirely by hand, subtle variations in color, pattern, and size are part of its character.
