Warm cream and terracotta tones form a radiating pattern in the Dahlia Basket, bringing a graphic, garden-inspired quality to traditional woven craft. Handwoven in Gitarama, Rwanda, each basket is made by skilled women artisans using traditional techniques.
Sisal fibers are extracted from agave plants, then hand-dyed and woven around sweetgrass to create a richly textured, durable piece.
At approximately 8" in diameter, the basket can be displayed on a wall, placed on a table or shelf, or used as a decorative catchall. A loop on the back makes hanging easy.
Because each basket is woven entirely by hand, subtle variations in color, pattern, and size are part of its character.
